there are way too many social justice warriors. we need a social justice scout and a social justice healer and a social justice black mage. seriously this videogame has like 10 different classes you can play and everyone goes for the one that just uses generic melee weapons?

Astrid said it out loud first, and it totally slipped.
Hiccup was in the forge with her axe then, rebalancing it. But then he told her that he etched something into the handle—a small figure of a dragon and a shieldmaiden—and her heart hammered a little it harder in her chest, butterflies erupting in her stomach. And she said it, the first time anyone said anything like that between them. It was a slip, but she meant it.
He was always doing these things for her. Preparing her flying pack, fixing her saddle, taking care of Stormfly when she couldn’t. Eating her crappy food, “secretly” repairing her weapons, being the first person she saw in the morning when he waited outside her house. Light massages, words of encouragement, and soft kisses stolen at random times of the day.
Astrid’s stomach coiled pleasantly again.
He looked over his shoulder at her and smiled, mirth dancing in his expression but said nothing. She glared at him when he laughed at her flustered expression. Hiccup finished up and handed over her axe, and it felt better in her grip—lighter, steadier. Astrid twirled it expertly and she playfully pointed it at his neck. Hiccup gently pushed the axe aside with her arm with a roll of his eyes.
Hiccup then pulled out a newly-stitched sling for her axe and Astrid smiled at him, and realized that no, she wasn’t the first one to say I love you. Not by a long shot.
